Investigations into the degradation of service are continuing.

We have identified the issue and working with one of our Partners to resolve it.

Technicians have isolated the cause of this afternoon’s instability. The network is now running at 100% but we are leaving this status update as ‘Current’ until the cause of the issue has been resolved.

Update: 20:40 AEDST Resolved
Technicians have now resolved all issues.

Summary:
We will be upgrading our LDAP infrastructure which will require a 30 period in which the “Email setup” page in the toolkit will be unusable. Once the update is complete the “Email setup” page will continue to function normally.

Unscheduled Maintenance – Standard hosting packages

Summary:
There was a problem with the nightly server restarts on our Standard cluster. Standard hosting packages added yesterday, as well as web server configuration changes such as PHP directives and web-forwarding would not have taken effect due to this.

Technicians have solved the problem and the servers have now been restarted. All additions and changes done yesterday will now take effect. We thank you for your patience.

Unscheduled Maintenance – Email

Summary:
The mail servers that relay email out of our network are currently under a higher than normal load. As a result the delivery time of these emails may be longer than expected.

Please note the mail servers are not losing email; They are simply not delivering it as promptly as usual. Typically this will be restricted to the sending of Tax Invoices, Receipts and email out via Webmail.

Update 17:00 AEDST:
Technicians have resolved this issue and email is being delivered promptly again.

Scheduled Maintenance: PHP version upgrade on Power cluster

Summary:

The PHP version on our Power cluster will be upgraded to version 5.2.17 from 5.2.14. This upgrade will be seamless.

Due to the increased security inherent to 5.2.17, you may see error messages about open_basedir restrictions and/or your software may encounter difficulties in performing file uploads. The solution is to add a PHP server directive called “upload_tmp_dir” to your hosting configuration. Please let us know if this is required for your site.

Update 11:50 AEDST:
The upgrades have been completed.

Summary:

We are encountering issues with mails that are being sent via our webmail page.  The error message that you may be seeing is this:

Connection refused
Server replied: 111 Can’t open SMTP stream.

Technicians are currently working on a resolution. In the mean time, if you have access to Outlook or a similar email client, we advise that you use that for sending emails. We apologise for the inconvenience and hope to have an update shortly.
