We apologise for the extended outage.
A problem arose in an Optus switch after the scheduled power outage. Optus tried to reset the switch remotely, but it would not hold a connection for longer than a few minutes. A local Optus technician was paged and attended our premises to install a temporary replacement.
Unfortunately, this was outside Ilisys’ control.

We are currently experiencing connectivity difficulties with our service provider, Optus. Technicians are currently working on the issue and are liasing with Optus in order to fix the problem.

A problem with one of our delivery mail servers has caused a brief interruption to email delivery to accounts. The problem has been resolved but there is a backlog of email to deliver. We expect the queue to return to normal levels in around 15 to 20 minutes. No email has been lost.
Update: mail queues are back to normal as at 15:26 AEDT

PURPOSE
Install new UPS backup power system
AFFECTED SERVICES

Early on Sunday morning, we will install a new UPS backup power system into our data-centre. This new system offers increased capacity and functionality over our current UPS and will work in conjunction with our existing diesel generator.
A brief power outage is required to make the final UPS connection, and hence all servers must be shutdown and restarted.

The MS SQL server upgrade has been completed successfully. All databases were back online by 12:41am AEST.

At 12:00am AEST Thursday 27th April 2006, we require a 30 minute outage window to perform an upgrade to the MS SQL database server. During this time websites using a MS SQL database have limited functionality.

The delays when receiving email have now been resolved. There was an issue with one of the Ilisys mail servers, another spare server has been brought online to resolve the problem.

Some customers may have experienced MySQL connectivity problems with their site over the last 20 minutes. These connectivity problems have now been resolved. We will continue to monitor the situation.
