[Update] POP timeouts for Outlook and Outlook Express users

We’ve made some configuration changes to the Courier-IMAP software and also some modified some settings on our load balancer, and that seems to have helped this problem.

However, some customers are still seeing it. We haven’t found a pattern to why it happens for some customers and not others, other than it’s more likely to happen for mailboxes containing emails with large attachments.

We are still working on this issue.

POP timeouts for Outlook and Outlook Express users

An issue has been reported wherein POP sessions in Outlook and Outlook Express are timing out while email is still being downloaded. This issue appears to be more common where messages have very large attachments.

The Platform team are working on a resolution to this issue.
